AD,

I like to head outside too. I was raised in North Dakota which is similar in climate to Siberia. The wind and snow don't frighten me. But I left my kids winter clothing at school, so couldn't take them out. Well... I tried some makeshift winter gear for them, but that was a disaster. So we sat inside until Friday afternoon when I managed to get to their school and retrieve their winter gear. Ugh!

Take care...

That looks like Sweden.... :-) I'm not good at being inside all day so I head outside regardless of weather. The kids fortunately seem to feel the same way and really enjoy a little adventure.

Hey Steve -- after running crazy with multiple tornado responses down south, I'll take being snowed in with my 2-year-old and 4-year-old.

But only for a day.

Hehe ... we were almost trapped in a cabin under the same conditions last weekend in Tahoe. Our first reaction was to say "well, we're not going anywhere today" (We were supposed to vacate the cabin that morning.) But when the weather report said that the storm was going to last a couple more days, we decided to boogie and do what it took to get out of there. Ended up taking 14 hours to travel what should have taken 5 hours to get home.

Good luck handling the little ones.

Yeah, Dallas just isn't quite looking this way. Where do you live anyway?

Steve, enjoy the beautiful scenery. I grew up with lots of snow as a kid, and the 110 degree summers have been, well, interesting.

And in other news... All this week was a very pleasant 70 degrees here in Dallas. But, we did just have a cold front come through and we're looking at a FRIGID 40 degress this morning. Brrrrrr! :-)

Have an awesome day!

And that is exactly why I live in Atlanta. The day I moved south from Philadelphia we had three feet of snow on the ground and I couldn't wait to leave!

Maybe you'll have some time to teach the kids a thing or two about personal development, or blogging, or put them to work shoveling so mommy can come back! If not, you can always flip over a garbage can top and send them on their way.

The pictures remind me of my youth in Two Harbors. We don't seem to get any snow here in Norfolk, VA. I'm actually a little jealous.

If my black lab mix could recognize pictures, he'd be even more jealous.

That looks like my neighborhood this morning! I took a picture, too, but it's hard to see anything. The snow isn't coming down as hard now, maybe I'll try again.

Wait until your kids are older, you can send them out to shovel!
