I loved the link about introverts! I am an introvert of the highest order -- two hours of alone time to one hour of socializing is the minimum requirement, for me -- but through years and years of *acting*, by which I mean consciously playing a part on purpose and with aforethought, I pass as an extrovert. I did it on purpose. I saw that extroverts got all the best dates and best jobs and highest marks and decided, "that's for me!" Most people who know me think I am a terrific extrovert, always "on" so to speak.

But Husband and I are loners. We can sit together for hours reading, without saying a word. We never hold parties or even go to friends' parties much, as they are exhausting. We choose our time with others to be flexible enough that we can leave after an hour or so. We've come to perfect the "leave them wanting more" technique! LOL!

Still, it took me a long time to realize that I really am an introvert, not just shy or insecure. No, not shy at all (as anyone who knows me will attest). Just easily exhausted by the give and take of the Talky Ones.

I'm an Introvert and Proud of it!

Hi Steve, thanks for these wonderful links again!! The article on introverts is really hilarious and uplifting at the same time, I'll definitely have that one bookmarked for years to come..
Pick the Brain was already one of my favorites, but I didn't know Liz Strauss' blog yet. Thank you!

Steve,
I love your last paragraph. I too have never had a DUI and do not drink alcoholic beverages at all, but prosecuting victimless crimes is a major threat to our freedom. Try properly prosecuting "real" crimes. See Huebert's article on Lew Rockwell.com:
    www.lewrockwell.com/huebert/huebert18.html
Love your blog! Keep it up.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for stopping in and for the link.

Jonathan Rauch's essay on introverts was a hoot (Pennsylvanianese for LOL). His idea about an Introverts' Rights movement put me in mind of people who talk about political parties for anarchists.

@Dutra - Thanks for clearing that up.

@Bill - Yes, I got this one wrong, they aren't just blocking Leo's feed. But they are blocking all of feedburner. So the censor's are still doing their citizens a huge disservice.

These days, when you hear any rumor about China, be suspecious... It might be necessary to write something like: "How not believe the news on the Net".
